The Changing Nature of Publishing

We have established a second Impact Factor List. It is no longer reasonable or wise to ignore the impact that the Internet has on publishing, researching, and usage by academics and students. We have established the first Internet Impact Factor list
(Internet Impact Factor, IIF) based on Internet information which takes into account the changing nature of publishing.

We have considered such data as:-
Google scholar
Microsoft Scholar
Google Page rank
Back links ( a clear indication of industry support)
Baidu (The Chinese search engine)
Accessibility

The Internet Impact Factor will change, in time, the way that traditionalists consider Impact Factors. The future of Publishing is becoming inextricably bound with the development of the Internet and its global spread.
