I have a B.S. in civil engineering and an MA in TEFL. Currently I am doing a PhD in TEFL at University for Teacher Education, Tehran, Iran. I have taught general English courses at the Iran Language Institute (ILI), Allameh Tabatabai'i University and University for Teacher Education. I have also taught Research Methods in Applied Linguistics at University for Teacher Education. I work at ILI Research & Planning Department in areas such as teacher education, materials development, curriculum planning and syllabus design.

I have lectured at a couple of conferences (on EAP materials development and task-based language teaching). I have published a number of articles on TBLT and Materials Development. Currently I am working as Cambridge ESOL examination officer. My areas of interest include teacher education and materials development. I am also interested in arts (particularly music, cinema and painting).
