Dr. Karin Zotzmann is an associate lecturer in EFL at the University of Queretaro, Mexico. She has also taught at other universities in Mexico, as well as in Australia, Austria, California, Germany and Britain. She obtained her first Master in German as a Foreign Language, Intercultural Business Communication and Psychology from the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Germany, both her 2nd M.A. in Cultural Studies and her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Lancaster University in Britain. Currently, she is undertaking a 3rd Master in Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Leon in Spain.

Her research interests include Critical Discourse Analysis, ecological approaches to foreign language teaching, genre theory, academic writing, intercultural communication, post-colonical education, sociology and heterodox approaches to economics.
