Dr. Ahmed Al Kilabi

Dr. Al Kilabi is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics. He works at the Department of English, College of Applied Sciences - Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman. He has taught in departments of English in Iraq and Jordan. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (FCIL), London and a member of the British Association for Applied Linguistics, the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics, Association of Linguistics in Great Britain and the Association of Professors of English and Translation at Arab Universities, Amman, Jordan. He is a member of the editorial boards of two on-line journals (Asian EFL Journal and the Linguistics Journal). His research interests include second language acquisition, SLA writing and testing.

At present he is the Head of the English Department and is in charge of the Foundation Programme at the College.
