Aysha Viswamohan has an MA, MPhil (Lit) and MPhil (English Language Teaching) from CIEFL, Hyderabad. She did her Post graduate Central Institute of English & Foreign Languages, Hyderabad,India. Her PhD is on American Drama. She has authored and edited several books on language and literature.

Her most recent book is English for Technical Communication (2008), published by Tata McGraw-Hill, India. Her publications have appeared in Modern English Teacer, English Teaching Professional, English Today, ESL, IATEFL-Selections (2005& 2006) & Language Magazine. She is on the editorial board of Asian EFLJ since 2006, and Asian ESPJ since 2008 January.

She is also on the editorial board of Journal of Intercultural Communication, and is a referee for Modern Language Journal (Blackwell, USA). She has presented papers and conducted workshops at several international conferences.  She teaches, writes and guides in areas related to Drama, English Language Teaching & Film Studies. She works as Assistant  Professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras,  Chennai, India.
