Title
Access English - A Program to Imporove the Teaching of English

Abstract

Access English is a regional project of the British Council designed to improve the teaching of English through a variety of inter-related activities that support decision makers, trainers and teachers. Our support for policy makers includes conducting researches and providing consultancies in the areas of multilingual education, professional development and ICT in education.  The result of these researches and consultancies guide the design of our teacher training programmes as well as provide options on adapting British Council resources and know-how to the educational contexts that will fit the requirements and the needs of our teachers.

This session will focus on Access English main strands:
Strand1: Research Symposia and Think Tanks
Strand 2: Training
Strand 3: Resources for Teachers
Strand 4: Support for Learners
